Two men have been charged following a pursuit in Sydney’s west yesterday.
Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were patrolling Tregear when they stopped a Holden Commodore on Debrincat Avenue, about 4pm (Saturday 8 May 2021), and spoke with the driver and three passengers.
As a passenger was removed from the back seat, the driver allegedly accelerated away, and a pursuit was initiated.
The Holden stopped in Magnolia Road, North St Marys and police arrested the driver, a 33-year-old man, and a second male passenger, aged 26, as they ran from the vehicle.
During a search of the driver, officers allegedly located cannabis, an electrical stun device disguised as a torch, and more than $5000 cash in his possession. The passenger was allegedly found in possession of cannabis.

Car, mobile stolen – North St Marys
A man has had his car and mobile phone stolen after being threatened by three men in North St Marys overnight.
The 34-year-old man was sitting in the passenger seat of his car outside a business in Parklawn Place about 7.30pm (Sunday 8 May 2021), when he was approached by a man who demanded his car keys.
The driver refused but saw two more men nearby, one of whom punched him in the face and demanded his mobile phone.
The man handed over the keys and his phone then was dragged from the vehicle before the three men drove away in his car. All men were wearing face masks.
