Lenovo has refreshed its
ThinkPad X13 ($1,139+) laptops with new ThinkPad X13 and X13 Yoga models. These laptops feature 16:10 displays with 1920×1200 or 2560×1600 resolutions, which seems like an excellent choice for battery life. Creative users have other Lenovo laptops to choose from, including the powerful ThinkPad P1 Gen3 we recently reviewed.

The ThinkPad X13 series is geared towards productivity and has a full array of ports (USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, security lock, and a SIM tray + eSim). That is hugely convenient if you need to exchange USB keys or use a projector on a regular basis, for example.
The X13 also has a Lenovo Pen stored on the lower right side of the chassis. It is always charged and available for note-taking.
ThinkPad X1 Fold is the first commercial laptop with a
foldable OLED display, making this 13-inch computer fit in an average purse. Beyond this technological feat, it might create new use cases and user habits, just like Lenovo’s 360-degrees hinge many years ago. Did Lenovo jumpstart a second form-factor revolution? Let us take a closer look.

Design: a look to kill for
You know from the photos that the ThinkPad X1 Fold looks awesome and edgy. It is unlike anything else on the market, and there is undoubtedly a swagger factor that comes with it. It is very similar to the first generation of Foldable phones.
13.5-inch laptop equipped with a
3:2 aspect-ratio + 2K display. This aspect ratio is recognized as being the best for productivity purposes, and users (including me) have been nagging at Lenovo for -years- to get a 3:2 display! Let’s celebrate shortly, then get back to work.
Additionally, the display supports Dolby Vision HDR and is certified for Dolby Atmos, so it should be an excellent multimedia system.
The Titanium material (it’s probably an alloy, instead of “pure” Titanium) lets Lenovo build this super-thin, ultralight, laptop without compromising any of the durability features that all ThinkPad X should have, including the MIL-STD-810 certification. In any case, Lenovo had me at “Titanium” anyway because the material is just legendary.
