All My Children primetime revival in development at ABC

A primetime version of canceled soap opera All My Children titled Pine Valley is in the works at ABC from executive producers Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
ADVERTISEMENT Pine Valley refers to the fictional Pennsylvania town where All My Children took place. The new series will follow a young journalist who comes to the town to expose its dark history.
The journalist, who has a secret agenda, will become involved in the feud between the Kane and Santos families.
Robert Nixon, son of All My Children creator Agnes Nixon, is also executive producing along with Leo Richardson (Katy Keene, Star) who is penning the script and Andrew Stearn of Andrew Stearn Productions.
An iconic daytime drama is getting a primetime makeover. ABC is in early development on Pine Valley, a primetime version of the network’s beloved daytime drama All My Children, with popular alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos executive producing alongside Andrew Stearn and filmmaker Robert Nixon, son of the late AMC creator Agnes Nixon.
In the All My Children followup, written/executive produced by Leo Richardson (Katy Keene, Star), a young journalist with a secret agenda comes to expose the dark and murderous history of a town named Pine Valley only to become entangled in a feud between the Kane and Santos families. The seres explores all the secrets that come with the Kane and Santos family names.
