CORVALLIS, Mont. - The Ravalli County Sheriff s Office tells our reporter on scene they are still working on communicating with the barricaded suspect.

CORVALLIS, Mont. - Authorities in Ravalli County are continuing negotiation efforts with the barricaded suspect Wednesday morning in the nearly 48-hour standoff.
The Ravalli County Sheriff s Office wrote in a release the suspect is a 35-year-old man who is armed with numerous guns, but no shots have been fired.
Nearby residents remain evacuated from the neighborhood.
RCSO said negotiations were beginning to show signs of potential with the suspect Tuesday and into Wednesday morning but the suspect remains barricaded as of Wednesday morning.

Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton says a K9 was used, along with what was described as less lethal force options, but the stalemate continues.
In a news release early Wednesday morning, the sheriff says that no shots have been fired and a number of residents are still evacuated from the neighborhood for their safety and to allow movement of resources.
Sheriff Holton said that additional resources are being assessed for Wednesday to peacefully end the stand-off, although he didn t give specific details.

Ravalli County Sheriff’s deputies are still on the scene of a barricaded suspect in Corvallis.
Sheriff Steve Holton reports that the subject is an adult male in a residence with firearms. The suspect violated conditions of release in a previous arrest.
Authorities attempted to contact the suspect who refused to answer the door and it was noted that he possessed several firearms. There were several unsuccessful attempts to get the suspect to answer his phone.
The standoff began on Monday afternoon and traffic is still being restricted in the area after some neighbors had been evacuated to ensure safety.
