Updated: 7:26 PM EDT May 22, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff The Greensboro Police Department is searching for the suspect that caused an AMBER Alert for a missing 5-month-old that was inside a stolen car Saturday.The child, Nora Starr Grant, was found safe Saturday morning outside an apartment complex in Winston-Salem by a person who called the Winston-Salem police. Officers said they do not know how long she was outside exposed to the elements and was taken to the hospital for precautions after being reunited with her mother.(Video Above: AMBER Alert issued for missing child)The child had been inside a Volkswagon that was stolen at the Marathon gas station on Randleman Road at 9:22 p.m Friday night, officers said. The mother and a 3-year-old sibling had gone inside to ask for directions while the child slept.Police said the 2017 Volkswagon Tiguan was stolen by a Black man wearing a dark jacket, jeans and black flip-flops. Officers are still searching for the man.
