Behind encouraging COVID-19 numbers in Pueblo County, expanding vaccinations, new quarantine protocols and the potential use of rapid tests, Pueblo School District 70 announced changes to its return to in-person learning plan during Tuesday s board meeting.
The new plan calls for all elementary and middle school students to return to in-person instruction starting Jan. 18, with Rye High School also returning fully in-person.
Pueblo County and Pueblo West High Schools will go to the hybrid model used in the fall beginning Jan. 18.
Before winter break, D70 believed it was possible for elementary and middle school students to return, but gave no definitive plan. High school was expected to stay virtual through Jan. 18.
