Mangawhai Library is closed and some Kaipara District Council building and health inspections suspended after a positive Covid case was disagnosed in Northland.
However, no services at the Whangārei and Far North district councils have been affected so far.
The Mangawhai Library will look to reopen on Tuesday next week.
The Kaipara council s Dargaville offices open between 9am and 4.30pm and at Mangawhai from 9am to 4pm.
Hundreds of people are being asked to stay home and get a Covid-19 test today after a Northland woman tested positive for the virus.
Businesses visited by Northland’s community Covid-19 case say they are “angry and frustrated” at not being contacted by health officials, with some resorting to Healthline for guidance.
Stuff has spoken to 11 businesses who say they weren’t contacted by the Ministry of Health, leaving some unsure whether to remain open or close for a deep clean. Some said they had been waiting on hold for hours in an attempt to get guidance from Healthline.

Calls to Healthline s dedicated Covid-19 information line have more than quadrupled in recent days, leading to increased wait times for callers.
A 56-year-old woman from Northland tested positive for Covid-19 after completing the required 14 days of managed isolation at the Pullman Hotel in Auckland.

Some Northland businesses where a woman who tested positive for Covid-19 visited are closed as a precautionary measure whereas others are worried they may have to follow suit if customers stay away.
In Kaipara, the 56-year-old woman who tested positive visited Joseph Taylor Homewares in Mangawhai on January 17 and The Dune Restaurant and Bar, also in Mangawhai, a day later.
She went to Eutopia Cafe in Kaiwaka on January 18. All three business outlets were closed yesterday, as were at least two others in Mangawhai that were not visited by her.
