AUSTIN, Texas Nearly two months after devastating winter storms hit Texas, some tenants are still dealing with uninhabitable apartments.
on Saturday, dozens of upset renters came together to demand action from their apartment managers. It was the newly formed Mueller Flats Tenants Association and 9500 Tenants Association. Both groups were built out of despair for a habitable home.
The two groups grabbed their signs and marched in solidarity to both management companies and dropped off a list of demands for compensation, accommodations, lease termination without penalties and open communication.

AUSTIN, Texas Austin Code Enforcement took nearly 4,000 3-1-1 complaints since February’s winter storms. More than 100 of those are storm-related damages at the Mueller Flats Apartments.
In an apartment complex with hundreds of neighbors, it didn’t take much to feel alone.
“I m glad you came out because I looked for something online to see if somebody could help me. I need my story heard,” Rose Tealer, a Mueller Flats Apartments resident, told KVUE on March 10.
