The Resistance movement has broad tentacles and is an umbrella for numerous offshoots. It has been tied to Hillary Clinton, Antifa, Black Lives Matter, the Indivisibles, Obama’s Organizing for America, and violence in general at Republican representatives’ town halls. The donors follow.

Recently, a group of Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) activists in Gaza, namely the Gaza Voice team, commemorated Israeli Apartheid Week (IAW) which is an annual event that was first launched in Canada in 2005 and is held by more than 250 cities across the globe every year to spread awareness regarding Israel’s Apartheid regime and to internationally mobilize grassroots support. Usually, IAW activities include intellectual gatherings, Palestinian popular artistic and musical events, inviting speakers whether locally or globally, watching and discussing documentary films, and networking with various Palestinian solidarity campaigns and pro-Palestinian movements. This year, all activities in Gaza, as well as in other parts around the world, have been held online due to Covid-19 restrictions.
For mainstream lawmakers, the January 6 attack was a wake-up call to a simmering threat. No longer able to pretend white nationalist violence is a fringe remnant of a bygone era, some elected officials have drawn attention to law enforcement’s negligence to prevent the violence at the capitol and are calling for new approaches.
However, some of their calls to action point toward old approaches that have only entrenched the forces of white supremacy: domestic terrorism laws.
