DEMING – After a year on the sidelines, the Wilson Summer Recreation Program will return for a six-week run at the E.J. Hooten Recreational Complex on South Nickel Street in Deming. The City of Deming opted to cancel the 2020 program due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in Luna County. The pandemic took hold of New Mexico during the summer months last year and brought a halt to all mass gatherings and closed businesses that were termed “nonessential” by the Governor and the New Mexico Department of Health.
