Cabrillo Unified School District students are set to come back as early as the first week of April after learning remotely for more than a year.
At a special meeting on Monday night, Cabrillo Unified School District board members unanimously approved an amended elementary reopening plan, designating April 5 as the first day back for transitional kindergarten, kindergarten and first-grade students.
The decision came on the heels of a lengthy discussion at the boardâs regularly scheduled meeting last Thursday night. The board declined to formally approve the plan until Monday night to allow for adequate board consideration and public input.
