Of all years, this is not the one to procrastinate.
Several Harrisburg-area restaurants report they are completely booked on Feb. 14, one of the biggest holidays for the industry next to New Year’s Eve and Mother’s Day. The phones are ringing off the hook at some establishments.
“That’s all I have are these desperate men calling,” said owner Char Magaro, owner of Char’s at Tracy Mansion in Harrisburg.

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C – A local brewery is being spotlighted along with eight northern breweries across the region.
Mighty Peace Brewing collaborated with a few northern breweries to create a unique beer for an exclusive 8-pack being sold to benefit northern children’s charities.
The 8-pack is being sold to celebrate this year’s Kiwanis Alefest, one of B.C’s more popular beer events, which was cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers decided to switch things up to continue to raise funds for kids in need.
Head Brewer with Mighty Peace, Zach Mirosevic, says the company has a long-standing relationship with the club and jumped on the opportunity to collaborate.
Being forced in a box, the most creative ideas emerge as breweries adapt to pandemic guidelines
