Yorktown man gets 68 years in Walmart slaying case MUNCIE, Ind.  A Yorktown man has been sentenced to 68 years in prison as a result of a fatal shooting. A Delaware Circuit Court 1 jury last September found Justin Ryan Bennett, 32, guilty of murder in the February 2020 slaying of Chase Woolums, a 24-year-old Muncie man who was gunned down in the parking lot of the southside Walmart store. Testimony during last year s trial indicated Bennett had earlier threatened to harm Woolums, who was dating his former girlfriend. Authorities said Woolums  at the time armed with a 20-inch metal bar  was shot in the back with a .38-caliber handgun as he ran from Bennett s pickup truck, apparently after realizing the Yorktown man had a gun.
