Police charge man after series of assaults – Harris Park
A man will face court today after being arrested over a series of alleged assaults in Sydney’s west.
Since September last year, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command have been investigating a number of incidents in Harris Park.
About 8.30pm, Wednesday 16 September 2020, a man walking along Brisbane Street was assaulted by a group of up to five men.
The man was allegedly struck several times in the head with a baseball bat and then kicked when on the ground. He was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to facial injuries.

Millions of dollars could be granted by Thunder Bay city council for infrastructure upgrades.
Monday night city staff will recommend repaving of city streets, for just over $4.7-million, awarded to Taranis Contracting.
There are a large number of residential streets, but also work on Algoma, Balmoral and other high traffic areas.
Sewer and watermain work is expected to be done on Marion Street and Huron Avenue, granted to Nadin Contracting for over $2.9-million.
And, over $2.1-million will likely be given the go-ahead for P.N.I Contracting for storm sewer work on some residential streets.
The three firms are from Thunder Bay.
Man arrested in connection with homicide on Marion Street
Shreveport Police have charged a man in connection with a homicide that occurred back in late March.
On March 31, police responded to the 2300 block of Marion Street in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Xavier Griffin, 19, with a gunshot to his upper body. Griffin was pronounced dead at the scene.
Violent crimes investigators were able to gather valid information to identify the shooter. Sirelderick Hays, 20, was identified as the shooter.
On April 7, detectives were able to contact and interview Hays. Hays was charged with one count of second-degree murder, one count of armed robbery, and one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Hays was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
