Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will continue to seek measures
to enhance the efficiency of and expand the areas of engagement
in
UN peacekeeping operations, heard a conference held by the Ministry of National Defence in Hanoi on January 7 to review Vietnam’s involvement in the operations in the 2012-2020
period.
The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen.
Nguyen Chi Vinh, who is also head of the Ministry of National Defence s steering committee for the participation in UN peacekeeping operations. It saw the attendance of representatives from ministries, agencies, sectors and military units.
