More children will receive gifts this holiday season thanks to the efforts of a local teen.
Paige Buchanan, 14, dropped off 235 toys at the Voyager Inn Wednesday, where Low Income People Involvement of Nipissing (LIPI) has been collecting and organizing donations for its annual toy drive, which is done in partnership with the Santa Fund.

“It was appreciated and nice,” Paige said about dropping off the toys this week.
Having taught herself to loom at the age of 10, the Grade 9 student from École secondaire publique Odyssée has been making handmade hats for newborn babies at the local hospital through her project LoomLove.
