Consultation on achieving SDGs July 1, 2021 Lahore: A policy consultation on achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fulfilling commitments under the Convention on Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) was held here on Wednesday. The consultation was organised by Shirkat Gah, Women’s Resource Centre (SG) and the Democratic Commission for Human Development. It provided a platform for engagement between elected and executive members of government and civil society to engage with Pakistan’s progress on achieving SDGs targets particularly SDG 5-Gender Equality and SDG 10-Reduced Inequalities and fulfilling commitments under CEDAW. Karin s Causes annual Estate Sale earns $15,500 for three nonprofits

Sarasota Herald-Tribune More than 500 dealers, collectors and weekend garage and estate sale enthusiasts recently attended the annual Karin’s Causes Estate Sale at the Women s Resource Center, helping to raise $15,500 for three nonprofits. The estate sale, founded in 2014 by collector and hobbyist Karin Gustafson, is known for its carefully curated items that feature the rare and beautiful and items of historic and decorative interest, many with collectible appeal and value. The three-day event raised $15,500 for the Animal Rescue Coalition, New College Foundation’s scholarship fund, and the Women s Resource Center. “It was wonderful to see a return of our loyal shoppers and new buyers, many of whom are loyal followers of our three nonprofits,” Gustafson said.
