Ravens Ink New Defensive Backs Coach, DâAnton Lynn

OWINGS MILLS, Md. The Ravens hired D’Anton Lynn, son of former Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn, as defensive backs coach.
Lynn will serve under Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale and pass defense coordinator Chris Hewitt.
“D’Anton is a smart and detail-oriented coach who is passionate about helping players succeed,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh stated. “Coaching is in his blood, and I believe he’ll be a strong addition to our defensive staff.”
Lynn, 31, is a six-year coaching veteran who most recently served as the Houston Texans’ secondary coach in 2020. He spent the past three seasons (2018-20) working with the Texans’ secondary after holding posts as a defensive assistant with the Los Angeles Chargers (2017) and Buffalo Bills (2015-16). Lorenzo Taliaferro, former running back for the Baltimore Ravens, has died of a heart attack in his native Virginia at just 28. His death was announced by the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office Wednesday night without revealing a cause. However, a family member told Fox Baltimore that Taliaferro had died from a heart attack. Earlier today, December 16, 2020, at approximately 3.07 pm Deputies were dispatched to the 100 Block of Windsor Lane for a call of someone needing medical attention, the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office said in a statement. Medics also arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital where he later passed away. Lorenzo Taliaferro was 28 years old. We cannot release any medical information. Our sincere condolences, thoughts, and prayers go out to his family and friends.

The Ravens are grieving Thursday morning, as former Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro has passed away at just 28 years old.
Taliaferro played three seasons for the Ravens from 2014-2016. He died Wednesday from a reported heart attack, according to a family member. We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Lorenzo Taliaferro, Head Coach John Harbaugh stated. Lorenzo was a kind, smart, respectful and determined young man – someone always committed to his teammates and well-liked by everyone in our organization. Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died Wednesday at age 28, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff s Office in Virginia.
Deputies were dispatched to an apartment in Williamsburg, Va., around 3 p.m. after the sheriff s office said they received a call from someone in need of medical attention later identified as Taliaferro. After medics arrived, Taliaferro was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities didn t provide a cause of death, however, a family member told FOX 45 of Baltimore that he died of a heart attack.
