A man responsible for performing multiple indecent acts along Prince Albert’s Rotary Trail, while joggers passed by, may not have possessed the intellectual understanding to know what he was doing was wrong. The testimony was heard as part of proceedings at Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday.
Alex Norman Morin, 20, entered guilty pleas to three charges related to indecent exhibition, and one count of obstruction of a peace officer. He received a nine month suspended sentence, essentially meaning he will be on probation and must abide by a number of conditions including attend treatment and receive counseling.
According to evidence heard in court, Morin suffers from “severe cognitive issues”, and never threatened or approached any of the passers by. His actions were described as self-gratification in an area where he was visible, although it’s unclear whether he intended to actually be seen.

The first regional drive-through Covid testing centre for Fife has opened in Glenrothes.
The new facility in Blackwood Drive brings the total number of regional test sites in Scotland to eight, building on provision at Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Prestwick Airport, Aberdeen Airport, the University of the Highland and Islands’ Inverness campus, Dudhope Castle in Dundee and Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.
Each regional test site can test up to 1,500 people a day, and it is hoped the Glenrothes resource will quickly identify if people with Covid symptoms actually have the virus.
