Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, city health officer, said Monday that a person is considered fully immunized two weeks after receiving the second dose of vaccine and that “there is no more need for them to undergo RT-PCR test”.
However, Miravite said that those fully vaccinated persons exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) will still be required to undergo an RT-PCR test even if they show their certificate of vaccination.
Four laboratories are currently offering RT-PCR tests–the Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC), Philippine Red Cross Molecular Laboratory, Department of Agriculture-ZCMC laboratory, and the containerized RT-PCR testing laboratory of the Ciudad Medical Zamboanga (CMZ).
