The majesty of nature has inspired and nurtured humans since the dawn of time. Music created by humanity attempting to replicate nature’s sounds owes its existence to the rustling breezes blowing through the leaves and love calls from singing birds.
We owe everything to the environment, and yet, humans continue to callously undermine its health in exchange for convenience, profit and to establish oppressive dominion over beings of all varieties.
A team of Danville Community College students competed in a national skills trade competition designed to bring publicity to the trades, and won out of 23 teams. The team brought home $35,000 in prize money; $20,000 of which went to the school. Each team member received $5,000.
Chase Smith, Koby Carter and Trent Oswald comprised the team that competed in âClash of Trades,â a YouTube show presented by Project MFG, that aired the final competition on April 20. The competition was funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, bringing attention to the areas of welding and precision machining.Â
