The Orchard Welsh Premier Women’s League is soon to resume training and competitive matches, following re-instatement of its elite status by Sport Wales.
The timing of the announcement means that the League programme can be completed this season, making use of the extension to 30 May, as agreed by clubs at the AGM.
Clubs were consulted over the last couple of days and their feedback has helped to shape the revised fixture programme. The League will restart on Sunday 7 March with Aberystwyth Town hosting Briton Ferry Llansawel, followed by a full set of games on 14 March.
No decision has been made in respect of resuming the WPWL Cup, nor starting the FAW Women’s Cup but announcements shall be made as appropriate in due course.
