As thousands of Island children too young to be vaccinated prepare to return to school in the coming weeks, some parents say teachers should be required to be vaccinated. The Official Opposition is backing up their call.
With three weeks to go until the school year starts, the Prince Edward Island government has yet to release a plan for COVID-19 precautions that will be in place to protect students and staff. The Department of Education and Lifelong learning said in a statement Tuesday that the plans will be released "in the coming days."

BYOD: Bring your own device piloted at P.E.I. high schoolÂ
Students at Kinkora Regional High School in Prince Edward Island have been taking part in a pilot program to BYOD or bring your own device to school. It allows students to bring their own devices such as phones, tablets or laptops to school to access the schools Wi-Fi for educational use.
