Hobart Hurricanesâ DâArcy Short has taken one of the best catches in Big Bash League history, dismissing Brisbane Heatâs Tom Cooper on Sunday night with a stunning caught and bowled.
Smashing a delivery down the pitch, Cooper was forced to depart after Short somehow managed to hold onto a freak catch after throwing his arm out to latch onto the ball.
Speaking on
Fox Cricket, Mike Hussey said it was one of the more remarkable catches heâs ever seen.
âThat is an unbelievable catch,â Hussey said.
âTom Cooper has absolutely belted that and I think it was more a hope, he just stuck the left hand out and it just stuck.
Keemo Paul, 22, takes a catch while playing for the West Indies. He has played only one match for the Hobart Hurricanes in the 2020-21 Big Bash League.
West Indies all-rounder Keemo Paul was named as an X-Factor substitute for Hobart Hurricanes game against the Brisbane Heat but played no part in the game.
Hobart went under by four wickets to Brisbane on Sunday at the Gabba in Match 16 of the 2020-21 Big Bash League (BBL). X-Factor substitutes is one of the innovations created for the new BBL season.
