At the end of the June, the Ontario and federal governments announced a total of more than $50 million to protect the health and well-being of residents in 129 municipalities across Southwestern, Midwestern and Central Ontario. This support will be delivered through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Plan (ICIP) COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream (CVRIS).

Locally, more than $2 million in critical funding will be provided for a total of eleven important projects to ensure our municipal and community infrastructure is safe and reliable. Our government’s investments will support infrastructure projects to enhance health & emergency facilities and recreational spaces, as well as upgrading municipal buildings and community centres.
