It’s hard to imagine the mask-free world just over a year ago, when
New Hampshire Magazine honored me as one of their presidential “Primary Superfans” for zealously pursuing goofy photo-ops from Nashua to Dixville Notch (and every square inch of granite in between).
For the past four presidential election cycles, I’ve photographed White House hopefuls with my favorite cartoon character – Dino Flintstone – as they’ve stampeded through New Hampshire’s apple farms, ice cream stands and diners. It’s a profoundly different ask than the selfie and autograph requests that politicians typically receive. The dinosaur doll catches them off-guard and forces them to momentarily go off script.
CANTON Anyone who lives in or around Fulton County knows Trash Panda.
He’s the lovable spokescat for Fulton County Emergency Services & Disaster Agency (ESDA) who has an insatiable appetite for Fruity Pebbles.
And, now, Trash Panda’s lovable mug is featured on special boxes of Fruity Pebbles.
ESDA Director, Chris Helle, said they received the package from the company and were surprised.
No one knows who reached out to Fruity Pebbles. It s as much a mystery to Helle as it is to anyone else.
But, Trash Panda wasn t born a star.
Trash Panda’s early life didn’t appear very bright. He was abandoned without his mom when he was about two to three weeks old. It was uncertain if he would make it and if he had a fighting chance he would need around the clock care for a lengthy time. DAYTONA BEACH The Pallet Pub that opened on Main Street two years ago recently became home to Daytona Beach s first beachside microbrewery.
The owners have dubbed it World s Most Famous Brewery, a tongue-in-cheek nod to the longtime tourism slogan for the beach just two blocks to the east.
Pallet Pub and the World s Most Famous Brewery share the storefront space at 816 Main St. that is also home to two other businesses: an electric bike rental service called Ecycle Daytona and Hopcycles, a group pedal bike tour company. All are co-owned by Tom Caffrey and Krista Goodrich with the exception of the brewery which the two co-own with brewmaster Tom Betts and his wife Tiffenie.
