SAN DIEGO The San Diego Registrar of Voters still needs temporary election workers for the California Gubernatorial Recall Election on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Election workers can earn up to $20 an hour.
There is a particular need for election workers to manage the operations of mail ballot drop-off locations and site managers for in-person voting locations around the county.

San Diego County s interim Registrar Cynthia Paes said her staff has been working around the clock, especially since about two weeks ago, when the election date was announced. So typically we have 180 days to prepare for a statewide election such as this. For this election, we have 70 days, she said.

Suvendu top on the list as he heads three co-op banks
The West Bengal government led by Mamata Banerjee has started taking action against the cooperators who left TMC and joined BJP during the legislative assembly election held this year.
BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari is on the top of the list who has been accused of running a cooperative bank as the chairman illegally for years. At present Adhikari is the chairman of three cooperative banks including Contai Cooperative Bank, Vidyasagar Central Cooperative Bank, Midnapore and Kanthi cooperative rural land development bank.
