Palomino Fest returns to the Uvalde County Fairplex for Labor Day Weekend

By Tejano Nation Uvalde, TX– The Uvalde Festival and Events Association, producers of the annual Palomino Fest, announced Tuesday they would go forward with the event this year. Last year’s event did not take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.\ Event organizers attributed declining numbers in COVID-19 cases in Uvalde and surrounding areas as the leading reason to go forward with the event. In addition, 46 percent of Uvalde County citizens are vaccinated, which was another critical factor in having this year’s event. According to a festival spokesperson, event organizers expect to see declining numbers in COVID-19 cases continue to drop due to more people getting vaccinated. However, they will monitor the situation.
