Spain s Princess Leonor has thrown her support behind a major program aimed at making Europe greener by planting three billion trees.
The 15-year-old carried out an engagement near Madrid without her parents King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
She was joined by her younger sister Infanta Sofia, 14, for the event known as

It was launched last year with the ambitious goal to plant three billion trees across Europe by 2030 to raise awareness about climate change and the need to protect the continent s last primeval forests.
