Multi-Day Event In September Planned For The Ed Johnson Memorial Dedication Monday, July 19, 2021 The Ed Johnson Project (EJP) invites the public to attend the dedication of the Ed Johnson Memorial in September.   The multi-day event begins Thursday, Sept. 16 and continues through the weekend to Sunday, Sept. 19 for the final unveiling and dedication of the memorial. Throughout the weekend, events will include history panels, artist talks, art exhibits and other experiences. EJP is working with the Chattanooga community to plan this long-awaited event.    The main dedication event will feature New York Times bestselling author and Chair of Princeton’s Department of African-American Studies, Dr. Eddie Glaude Jr. as the keynote speaker. Dr. Glaude is one of the nation’s most prominent scholars, political commentator, public intellectual and passionate educator who examines the complex dynamics of the American experience.
