WEYAUWEGA – One person died and another was seriously injured early Wednesday morning after a crash in Waupaca County.
Deputies responded around 2:30 a.m. to a one-vehicle crash on County U at Railroad Grade Road in the town of Weyauwega, according to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said a vehicle going north on County U went into the west ditch, drove back on the road and rolled several times.
Officials said the driver was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner. A passenger was removed from the vehicle and taken to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Waupaca and transferred to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah with life-threatening injuries.
