Cold Point facility in Rome continues city s revitalization through Brownfield grants Gov. Andrew Cuomo recently announced the completion of Cold Point Corporation’s new 50,000-square-foot, $5.1 million manufacturing facility in Rome at one of two sites at the former Rome Cable Corporation complex – the latest example of the city utilizing Brownfield grants to help rehabilitate properties and return them to the tax rolls.  Cold Point specializes in the design and manufacturing of water-sourced heat pumps, packaged terminal air conditioners, condensing units and other similar products, according to Cuomo’s announcement.  The new facility marks a milestone for the project, which is a signature part of Rome’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative and a strategic site identified in the Erie Boulevard Brownfield Opportunity Area.
