Someone shot at the 25-year-old about 9:30 p.m. as he walked in the 11800 block of South Indiana Avenue, striking him in the thigh and grazing his elbow, police said. He was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in good condition.

Getty A man is accused of endangering a child after allegedly barricading himself inside a home with a 9-month-old baby Wednesday afternoon in Chatham on the South Side. The 37-year-old is charged with one misdemeanor count of causing a child to be endangered, Chicago police said. SWAT teams responded to the incident about 1 p.m. in the 8800 block of South Indiana Avenue, as the man refused to leave the residence, police said.
