After public outcry, the state has moved back the date for businesses to remit first quarter unemployment payments.
Employers were notified Thursday of the move by the Department of Unemployment Assistance.
Businesses were shocked when the state included an almost 10% increase in the required first quarter payments.
The money would have gone to the state’s solvency fund.
The due date has been moved from April 30th to June first.
Wage filings are still due on April 30th.
