RAWALPINDI: The governor body of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Saturday approved the annual budgets of the RDA and Wasa for the fiscal year 2021-22.
However, RDA failed to devise a plan to enhance its income and will be relying on financial help from the Punjab government for development work.
The governing body held a meeting with RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza in the chair. RDA Director General Nadeem Abro presented the budget worth Rs2.379 billion which was approved.
The Punjab government will provide Rs1.984 billion for development schemes in the garrison city under its annual development programme (ADP). However, the civic agency will not spend a single penny on the schemes from its own sources.

The 55th Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) governing Body meeting held today in the conference room of RDA which was chaired by Chairman RDA Tariq Mahmood Murtaza. RDA Director General presented the annual budget of RDA and the governing body approved Rs2379.005 million for the 2021-2022 financial year.
The RDA revenue target was Rs559 million against the target of Rs295 million for fiscal year 2020-21. This is Rs264 million more than the revenue target. All this was made possible under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for the construction sector and by implementing the campaign of the prime minister and chief minister of Punjab. The RDA saved Rs189 million in its non-development expenditure.

The Director General RDA presented the annual budget of RDA and the Governing Body has approved Rs2379.005 million for the financial year 2021-2022. Chairman RDA said that the revenue target of RDA was Rs559 million as against the target of Rs 295 million for fiscal year 2020-21, which is 264 million more than the revenue target.
All this was made possible under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for the construction sector.

Rawalpindi: The 55th Governing Body of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Saturday approved the annual budget 2021-22 of RDA amounting to Rs2,329.005 million.
A meeting of the Governing Body held here today was chaired by RDA Chairman Tariq Mahmood Murtaza.
The RDA Director General presented the annual budget of RDA in the meeting.
DG Rawalpindi Development Authority informed the meeting that the authority succeeded to generate revenue amounting to Rs559 million, Rs264 million more than the target of Rs295 million fixed for fiscal year 2020-21.The meeting was informed that the RDA succeeded to generate record revenue as all out efforts were made on the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and the authorities concerned of RDA worked hard as per the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision and implemented a policy to promote the construction activities in the district.
