ST. CLAIR Co., Ala. (WBRC) - A 9-year-old boy is a hero after he pulled his sister out of a car while his mom was being robbed at gunpoint in Moody.
Moody Police officers said a woman was robbed at gunpoint on Thursday, January 7 as she finished pumping gas in the area of U.S. Hwy 411 and I-20.
Her two small children were in the backseat. Officers said as the mother stood outside her vehicle, 18-year-old Kendarian Toran of Jackson, MS exited a maroon Chevy SUV which had been parked at the pumps opposite the victim. Investigators said he then jumped into the driver’s seat of her vehicle.

Coronavirus pandemic impacts lives, changes way of living for many
ATLANTA The coronavirus pandemic was responsible for nearly 80 million reported illnesses worldwide in December 2020. But, the illness, named COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO), actually began in 2019. Health experts first identified the virus in Wuhan, China.
Although many people reported little to no symptoms, some have reported severe illness. Around 1.72 deaths have been attributed to coronavirus. A person can remain infectious for up to two weeks after catching COVID-19.

MASSENA Reginald Patrick Hunt, age 86, passed away on Tuesday December 15, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Phillips Memorial Home in Massena.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Massena with Rev. Scott Belina officiating. A graveside burial will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family with full military honors in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. The Funeral Mass for Reginald will be attendance controlled with social distancing and face coverings will be required.
