Quezon Rep clears up VIP vaccination issue as gov t seeks probe

PH COVID-19 vaccination program to start on March 1

(Joe Raedle/Getty Images/AFP / MANILA BULLETIN) “In light of the arrival of COVID-19 vaccines in the country, there will be a symbolic vaccination with CoronaVac vaccines by Sinovac Life Sciences Co, Ltd., in different hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR) for March 1, 2021,” the DOH said in an advisory. “In the coming days, these vaccines will also be rolled out in other parts of the country,” the DOH added.  The six hospitals are the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) in Manila, Lung Center of the Philippines in Quezon City, Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (DJNRMMC) in Caloocan City, Veterans Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City, Philippine National Police General Hospital in Quezon City, and the Victoriano Luna Medical Center in Quezon City. 

525,600 AstraZeneca vaccines to arrive in PH on March 1

Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque later confirmed this information. “Another good news, ang inaantay natin ang bakuna mula sa COVAX sabi nila itong Sinovac, ‘yong iba po ay alanganin ang importante may darating din po na bakuna mula po sa COVAX darating rin po sa Lunes (the vaccines that we are waiting from COVAX since some are doubting Sinovac what’s important is that the vaccines from COVAX are arriving on Monday,” Go, who was former special assistant and close ally to President Duterte, told radio DWIZ.
