Trumbull Community Women s Easter baskets to benefit zoo March 17, 2021 FacebookTwitterEmail TCW Easter basketcontributed TRUMBULL Finding that it’s been a long, cold winter and folks may need some cheering, Trumbull Community Women, as part of its Easter fundraiser, will deliver a basket of Easter eggs filled with goodies designed for children containing 12 chocolate filled eggs and a small toy. The baskets, with individually wrapped candies, are $20 and all profits will be donated to the Beardsley Zoo. TCW is also offering baskets designed for cats or dogs; the cat basket will have a cat toy and two kinds of treats, the dog basket will have dog biscuits and a dog toy.

Jane Ferreira, the president and CEO of Mercy, said that the needs of families in quarantine are great and the pantry receives continuous requests for essential items. Community Women also thanked the Trumbull-based Amazon distribution center for its support, which helped to make this substantial donation possible.

Trumbull Community Women recently thanked the volunteers, delivering 40 gift bags on Feb.11. The bags contained a gift card to Plasko’s Farm along with a few goodies as a Valentine’s thank you.
