On Friday, Dec. 18, Chef Andrea Noonan of Dow Diamond opened up the stadium’s freezer space for almost 40 frozen turkeys to hold for Midland’s Open Door.
Each year, the majority of Open Door’s hams and turkeys served throughout the year are donated in the four weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year is no different, but as December’s pandemic restrictions continue to take a toll on restaurants and dining facilities, Open Door has faced a unique problem: Lack of freezer space.
