Police: Stamford drug probe leads to arrests, illegal gun FacebookTwitterEmail STAMFORD A search of a downtown Stamford apartment as part of a drug investigation turned up a convicted felon with a gun and a small amount of drugs, police said. Capt. Richard Conklin said a monthlong investigation led to the arrest on Friday afternoon of Salaahudiyn Jerry, 36, of Tresser Boulevard for selling crack to an undercover police officer on two occasions. Officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad had Jerry under surveillance at about 5 p.m. Friday when they decided to take him into custody on Daly Street, Conklin said. As they searched him they allegedly found a small amount of marijuana and crack cocaine in his possession, Conklin said.

The two associates were removed from the business and the suspect was arrested for theft, obstruction and a hate crime offense based upon threats and language.

OC Transpo bus driver tests positive

Article content An OC Transpo bus driver has tested positive for COVID-19, the Transportation Services Department said in a memo to council on Sunday evening. The operator last worked on Dec. 10, and Dec. 9 and Dec. 10 have been identified as the key dates prior to testing. The department said it was working with Ottawa Public Health to perform contact tracing on those who may have come into close contact with the driver on those dates.
