Dune is set to arrive on October 20th, and IMAX has announced a preview event featuring an exclusive look at the film for next week. IMAX announced on Tuesday that the highly-anticipated Denis Villeneuve-directed film will get a preview on July 21st and 22nd in IMAX theaters, which will feature the debut of the film’s latest trailer.
The preview promises “never-before-seen footage, music from the film, and more all culminating in the debut of the
Dune trailer.” You can reserve tickets here, which are free for all audience on a first come, first served basis.
The film stars Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya Coleman, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem. and is headed to theaters and HBO Max on October 1st. Dune is not what one would call a casual read. Itâs dense material that fully transports you to another universe as it unfolds its epic sci-fi story, and part of that means not coddling the reader and instead aiming for full immersion. Case in point: itâs a book that features a full glossary at the back of it so that you can look up invented terms.
