FULL of life with family, friends and loved ones coming and going all the time . That is how ward sister Hannah Sparks described the inpatient unit (IPU) at St Rocco s before the coronavirus crisis changed everything. Hannah is in charge of staff on the unit and said her experience completely altered at the hospice with the hustle and bustle disappearing and many restrictions introduced on the previously open door policy to keep everyone safe. The 35-year-old, who has been at St Rocco s for nearly four years, said: When the impending Covid-19 crisis was first rearing its ugly head none of us could have begun to imagine all the change, work, sacrifice, and loss we would be having to face.
