Forbes Travel Guide releases 2021 Star Awards
12 luxury hotels and spas in Australia, one less than in 2020

Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards.
The 63rd annual list features 283 Five-Star, 576 Four-Star and 438 Recommended hotels around the globe. Forbes Travel Guides also rates hundreds of restaurants and spas.
There were 46 debutants to the Ratings List this year which contained 19 Five-Star hotels, including The Balmoral, a Rocco Forte Hotel in Edinburgh, UK and The St. Regis Saadiyatt Island Resort in Abu Dhabi.
2021 winners were surveyed before the pandemic and as soon as regional restrictions enabled Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) to conduct incognito evaluations across three days, per hotel.
Tornadoes are migrating in Alabama’s direction

Our hearts go out to the victims of the Fultondale tornado. Tragedies are more poignant when they are close to home. I live only eight miles away.
This awesome tornado fits with the observation that the Tornado Alley of the Great Plains is shifting east and extending into the Birmingham and Huntsville areas. This is what climate change looks like.
Because the historic data on tornados is limited, it is not yet scientifically definitive that the tornado migration is human caused. However, the shift is consistent with the human-caused movement of the hot and dry climate in the West eastward into the Midwest.
