RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - As the Richmond Police Department continues to search for two suspects involved in a deadly shooting that killed 30-year-old Sharnez Hill and her 3-month-old baby, Neziah, at the Belt Atlantic Apartments on Tuesday, a community activist says itâs time to stop the gun violence happening in the city.
This Saturday, Cruz Sherman says heâs organizing a walk and inviting 100 men to step up and take action in light of the recent string of shootings.

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) A woman and her 3-month-old daughter were killed and three people were wounded after two groups of people exchanged gunfire, shooting indiscriminately across an apartment courtyard filled with children, Richmond police said Wednesday.
Police Chief Gerald Smith announced the infant s death at a news conference and said detectives were reviewing video recordings of Tuesday evening s shootings in an effort to identify suspects.
Smith said police believe one group of perpetrators started shooting outside the apartment complex in south Richmond and struck the victims, who he said were innocent bystanders. Another group returned fire, Smith said, but police don t believe they struck anyone.
