PARKERSBURG Over 600 trees will be planted today in the community in celebration of Arbor Day.
Monpower, a local FirstEnergy company, collaborated with Community Bank of Parkersburg and Wood County 4-H Camp to bring about 10 volunteers to Butcher Bend Road in Mineral Wells this morning to plant.
Over the past week, thousands of trees have been planted in the FirstEnergy territory throughout five states.
