McCallie, Mirabella Sharp In Win Over Briarcrest
Blues Set To Play Baylor On Wednesday Wednesday, May 26, 2021 - by Joseph Dycus
LEBANON, Tenn. - In the world of high school baseball, most coaches would be pleased if their starter gets through four innings against a quality opponent without imploding. McCallie’s Nic Mirabella went far above and beyond that threshold, dealing six sterling innings and giving up only two earned runs in the Blue Tornadoes 5-2 playoff win over Briarcrest Christian.
“It was nice to have the guys hit the ball early and get a lead like that,” Mirabella said. “It’s a lot easier than pitching from behind or even.”
Baylor Nips McCallie To Complete Three-Game Sweep
Jonathan Larrea Gets Save As Red Raiders Hold On To Win, 3-2 Wednesday, April 28, 2021 - by John Hunt
The Baylor baseball team proved they can win close games too.
More often than not this spring, the Red Raiders have used an explosive offense to score lots of runs, winning most of their games by 10 runs or more, but that wasn’t the case at Baylor’s Wyatt McMahan Field Wednesday night.
Facing arch-rival McCallie for the third straight day, Baylor completed a sweep of the Blue Tornado, but unlike the first two games where Baylor rolled by scores of 10-0 and 8-2, Wednesday’s game was a classic battle between two really good high school baseball teams.
Dear Santa,
My name is William Pine and I am 7 years old. I live in Mt. Vernon. This year I have been good. For Christmas I would like: 1. a transformer, 2. real puppy, 3. hotwheels and tracks
Thank you for all that you do!
Love,
Dear Santa,
I have been very good this year. Three reasons I have good this year are: 1. take the trash out, 2. I have been a good boy, 3. clean the check-out room. Three things I would really like for Christmas this year are: 1. hatchet, 2. tomahawk, 3. Swiss army knife. I canât wait to see what you bring me!
