More than 70 rides, shows and attractions await people who visit Kentucky Kingdom, an amusement and water park with both thrill and children s rides, plus waterslides and wave pools, located right in the heart of Louisville. And since we ve all been cooped up in our housing during the coronavirus pandemic, what better way to get back to normal than a trip to an amusement park?

View Comments More than 70 rides, shows and attractions await people who visit Kentucky Kingdom, an amusement and water park with both thrill and children s rides, plus waterslides and wave pools, located right in the heart of Louisville. And since we ve all been cooped up in our housing during the coronavirus pandemic, what better way to get back to normal than a trip to an amusement park? And while there s plenty to look forward to, keep in mind there are no new rides coming this season. We re in the process of developing a five-year master plan, Kentucky Kingdom General Manager Craig Ross previously told the Courier Journal. You can certainly appreciate it takes time to bring new rides and attractions to the market. It takes a lot of planning, a lot of time to design and develop these concepts, so we have a team of people that are working on that for the park. We re conducting the research.

Home to one of the world s tallest water slides, Hurricane Bay features fun for all ages. You and three others can venture into the eye of the storm in the tornado slide or enjoy a swim in the wave pool.Sign up for our Newsletters The water park features 19 attractions, click here for more information on those. According to park officials, children must be in reach in reach of a supervising companion to get on the rides. The companion must meet all rider requirements, be at least 14 years old, and be able to ensure the child follows safety instructions.
