ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul lauded the Danish government for its interest in Pakistan’s green initiatives and furthering it through enhanced collaboration in the shape of transfer of technology and capacity-building of the relevant sectors for effective implementation of the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
Danish Ambassador Lis Rosenholm on Thursday called on Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir and conveyed her government’s interest to join and support various green initiatives launched under the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision for Clean Green Pakistan.

Recharge Pakistan aims to increase water storage and recharge through wetlands, floodplains, and hill-torrents management
The programme will build the resilience of vulnerable communities through climate-adapted, community-based natural resource management and livelihoods
It will forge a paradigm shift in Pakistan’s climate change adaptation and flood risk management approaches.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change (MoCC), the Federal Flood Commission (FFC) under the Ministry of Water Resources, and WWF-Pakistan have launched a programme titled ‘Recharge Pakistan: Building Pakistan’s Resilience to Climate Change through Ecosystem-Based Adaptation for Integrated Flood Risk Management’ with a 30-year vision.
