This Monday, Scots around the world will celebrate Burns Night in celebration of the life and poetry of poet Robert Burns.
To honour the occasion, a haggis has been launched to the edge of space for the first time.
The haggis was attached to a weather balloon and soared more than 20 miles (107,293ft) above the Earth – equivalent to nearly four times the height of Mount Everest!

A haggis was launched into SPACE by a Scottish butcher to mark Burns Night - soaring more than 20 miles in the air. Leading butcher Simon Howie catapulted the spicy savoury pud to the edge of space to take the celebration of Scotland s favourite son Robert Burns to new heights. The 454g haggis took to the skies from Simon Howie HQ in Dunning, Perth and Kinross, on January 6th and soared so high it could be seen by stargazers up to 250 miles away.
