Nagwaswalla had an impressive 2019-’20 Ranji Trophy campaign where he picked 41 wickets in eight matches and played a key role in Gujarat reaching the semi-finals. He was the leading wicket-taker that season for his side, revelling despite not being used as the new-ball seamer often.
The standout performance so far in his young career came in his debut Ranji Trophy season as he picked 5/78 against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium. In a brilliant burst of bowling, he accounted for the wickets of Suryakumar Yadav, Arman Jaffer and Aditya Tare in the space of two overs to reduce Mumbai from 74/2 to 74/5. Gujarat went on to win by nine wickets.

New Delhi: A 129-run opening stand between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Faf du Plessis helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets in an Indian Premier League contest at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here on Wednesday.
Gaikwad made 75 off 44 balls (12×4) while du Plessis scored 56 off 38 balls (6×4, 1×6) as CSK chased down 171/3 put up by SRH with nine balls to spare.
SRH struggled to get wickets, as their pace trio of Sandeep Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed and Siddarth Kaul couldn’t get any assistance from the placid pitch.

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s cool quotient blended beautifully with Faf du Plessis’ flamboyance as Chennai Super Kings outsmarted Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match, here today.
Gaikwad was calmness personified as he tore apart the Sunrisers attack during his 75 off 44 balls after Du Plessis (56 off 38 balls) launched the initial assault, making a target of 172 looking easier than it actually was.
The win was CSK’s fifth on trot which helped them leapfrog Royal Challengers Bangalore to the top of the table while Hyderabad stayed at the bottom.
If Du Plessis shimmied down the track to loft left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith over long-on for a six, Gaikwad would rock back and pull him over deep mid-wicket for a boundary.
